Over time, teeth sustain all sorts of damage. Dark sodas, wines, smoking, and sweet treats will create unwanted looks for our teeth. Dark beverages stain our teeth, food leaves bacteria between them, and hard candy can create cracks within them. These issues can ruin the smile you have tried to maintain for so long.
Fortunately, Gentle Dental Care has the solution for you: crowns and teeth whitening. These two services will give a smile you had back. Crowns help cover cracked or weakened teeth while maintaining the look of your tooth. Teeth whitening can brighten up your smile by almost ten shades!
What are Crowns?
Crowns are usually made from porcelain and attach to your teeth to cover a crack, stain, or improve the integrity. If you are worried a crown will look unnatural, then don’t. Crowns maintain the look of your teeth by being the same shade as our current teeth and have the look of your current tooth. These features help improve the look of your teeth while also improving them.
Installing a crown takes two to three clinic visits. The first visit will include filing down the enamel of the tooth. This is done to allow the crown to fit over the tooth. Patients go under local anesthetic, so there is no pain. A mold is then taken of the tooth so the crown can be created. A temporary crown is placed until we set the final version.
Teeth Whitening Options
Gentle Dental Care offers two different types of teeth whitening options. Patients are welcome to choose either variation. Both provide substantial results when it comes to improving the look of your teeth. The first option is the standard teeth whitening. This process uses a tray whitening system, which is only two steps.
Firstly, an impression of your teeth is made. The impression will be used to create custom whitening trays. Secondly, you will use a whitening tray and soak it in gel for some time. Place the tray on your teeth and start to see the results.
The other option is ZOOM. ZOOM is a chairside whitening service for patients. It uses a whitening gel and low-intensity light to improve the look of your teeth. The gel is placed on your teeth, and then the light is taken over your teeth to speed up the process. This step is repeated a few times.
